A couple weeks ago there was a lot of rain/melting of snow, and since we live around a whole lot of farmland there were plenty of beautiful reflections that caught my attention. Mark and I drove around some and stopped here and there to take some pictures.
Most of my time outside of class is spent at the market (People's Market), and lately I've taken to bringing my D5000 with me on Fridays when I don't have class and things are laid back.
We've got a chalkboard between the registers where we write notes to each other.
These guys call themselves Coyote Choir, and we came across them on the streets of Northampton. Their harmonies are amazing, and it's not every day you see an accordion player. They've played a couple of local shows recently, and I'm really looking forward to seeing more of them.
This band is called Darlingside, and I went to grade school with the drummer, Sam Kapala. He was amazing in high school, and he still is. I was shocked, given the fact that I come from a tiny town and never see anyone from home EVER when I'm in the Valley, to hear that he and his band were actually living the town over from where I am now. We went to The Basement to see them one night, and they were incredible. I was really, really impressed. They're playing a show with Nada Surf at Pearl Street in Noho in a couple weeks, which I'll be going to.
Well I guess it's 7:30, I should probably eat something. I think I'll try to blog more in the future. So, look forward to it?
WAIT Sam Kapala is in Darlingside? I've heard of them! That kind-of blows my mind. haha.
